Update March 2019
Community Feedback Day - Saturday 13th April 2019, 1:00-4:00pm
A neighbourhood plan provides this community the chance to shape a sustainable vision for our rural parish.  The Melbury Abbas and Cann Neighbourhood Plan steering group have been progressing work on the plan based on the results of the 2018 Community Questionnaire.  Key themes have been identified and the steering group have working objectives that the community are invited to comment on before a draft plan is released later this year for consultation. The steering group has also identified potential areas to protect from development and areas that could be suitable for development based on the community’s feedback so far (which will be independently assessed).
Come along to find out more at the MA&CNP31 Community Feedback Day on Saturday, 13th April 1:00-4:00pm at the Melbury Abbas and Cann Village Hall.  The steering group will be available to talk through the questionnaire results, explain the work they have carried out to date and answer any questions you might have about the process.    Please come and shape the objectives and vision of the plan and comment on draft policy ideas to meet the needs of our community and respect its rural character and heritage.

Update October 2018 (Call for Sites)
Thank you to everyone who responded to the Community questionnaire at the beginning of the year.
The MA&CNP31 Steering group has compiled a list of sites identified in the questionnaire which will be assessed for suitability by an independent body and then brought back to the community for their views. In addition to sites proposed through the community questionnaire, the development plan process requires the Steering Group to ensure that all potential sites in the parish be assessed under the Neighbourhood Plan process.
If you have a site that you have not put forward but think it should be included please complete our online Call for Sites form [add hyperlink to the Call for Sites form - https://goo.gl/forms/eAJB88ReoMgBjZS92)
This needs to be done by Monday 5th November 2018.

Update October 2018
In October 2018, we shared a Community Update for our plan which detailed:
• The role of the MA&CNP steering group and the need of a Guys Marsh representative
• Where to find the questionnaire results
• Plans for a Community Feedback Day (Spring 2019)
• A timeline of the neighbourhood process (see below)
• A Call for Sites (see above)

A summary of the anticipated timeline is indicated below:

A summary of the October Community Update was also included in the December edition of the Spreadeagle.

Update May 2018/March 2019
The results of the questionnaire can be found here [add hyperlink to the questionnaire – this is already in the system].
An updated analysis with additional analysis, including a breakdown of responses answering 1-5 is available here [add hyperlink to the new version of the questionnaire – see email].

Update April 2018
Thanks to everyone who completed their questionnaire earlier this year.  We had a good response of approximately 25% of households who returned their questionnaire.  We have analysed your feedback and we will share this on our website soon.  We will be holding a meeting on the 30th June where our steering group will review these findings and consider the overall objectives of the plan with a view to creating policies over the Summer 2018.
Watch this space for more information on the progress creating MA&CNP31 and how you can get involved.

Update: December 2018
A Community Questionnaire will be distributed to all households in the parish. The questionnaire will help inform the evidence base of our plan and help the steering group understand your priorities for the future.
Paper copies of the questionnaire with regard to the Melbury Abbas and Cann Neighbourhood Plan will be distributed to each household in January. Click here [add hyperlink to the questionnaire – this is already in the system] for an electronic version of the questionnaire (as a fillable form). Please download the PDF file onto your computer before filling it out.
Questionnaires need to be completed by 3rd February 2018.
